Overview

e-IP was developed on the SFC's existing WINGS portal and serves as a one-stop online platform and can be used by e-IP users to submit new product applications, post-authorisation or registration submissions, track the progress of applications, maintain information profiles of investment products and settle fee payments. The investment products which can be handled by e-IP include investment-linked assurance schemes, mandatory provident fund products, open-ended fund companies, paper gold schemes, pooled retirement funds, real estate investment trusts, unit trusts and mutual funds and unlisted structured investment products.

To facilitate market participants familiarisation with the new system, the launch was accompanied by a three-month parallel run of existing application and regulatory submissions channels which expired on October 29, 2024. In addition, user guides and online demo clips are available on the SFC website and the WINGS technical hotline is available for e-IP users.

e-IP continues to promote digital and paperless processing of applications and submissions for investment products and at the same time enhances the efficiency of processing such applications and submissions from the perspective of both applicants and the SFC itself.
